Vanilla Waffles

Ingredients for Vanilla Waffles

Ingredient Quantity How
Flour 600g
Sugar 150g
Baking powder 2 tsp
Cardamom 1/4 tsp ground
Salt 1 tsp
Vanilla sugar 1 heaped tsp
Vanilla kesam 300ml
Melted butter 100g slightly cooled
Milk 500ml-600ml
Eggs 4

Method for Vanilla Waffles

Step 1

Melt the butter first and let it cool.

Step 2

Mix all the dry ingredients in a large wide bowl. Make a well in the center and add all the milk along with the vanilla kesam. Use a balloon whisk to gradually whisk the flour into the milk mixture.

Step 3

When the batter is smoothly whisked, crack in the eggs, whisk them in, and finish by whisking in the cooled butter.

Step 4

Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.

Step 5

Cook the waffles in a greased iron, following your waffle iron’s specific instructions.
